Hello, I just got my DLink DWL-520 wireless pci card last week and i'm trying to set it up but haven't been able to get it to work so far. I'm wondering if anyone else has set up this particular card and could tell me what i need to do to get it working. My understanding is that i needed to download the kernel source and tree and the pcmcia-cs source and compile and install that (without pcmcia/cardbus support enabled in the kernel?) then compile and install the wlan-ng drivers. I think my problem right now is with the pcmcia drivers. when i start pcmcia it cannot load and at first would at first give me an error that read "PCIC module not found" or something like that. I then changed the "PCIC=" line in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia to "PCIC=i82365" and it would fail and say "init_module: Operation not permitted" and "device not found". In syslog it said the pcic_probe could not find any PCI bridges. I'm not quite sure what this means. I thought that pcmcia-cs was only needed if you're using pcmcia cards and that my problem was because i just have a regular old desktop but all the instructions i read said toinstall pcmcia-cs. If anyone could help me out with this i'd really appreciate it. I've also read that this card requires a PCI 2.2 bios and i only have a PCI 2.1. but apparently people have gotten it to work on older machines with PCI 2.1 anyway.
Thanks
