Cant load kernel module when 2 NICs installed

"Everything was working perfectly before :-("

Got two realtek NICs. System was running fine before today, but now it wont load the kernel module 8139too which is the driver for my NICs (included in my kernel).

I can install one NIC and set it up for my cable modem - setting the IRQ and IO port, but when I insert the second the machine is unable to load the kernel module.

Any ideas?

Solved folks - I believe module is not installing because PnP OS is enebled in the bios. Either way, Ive just set rc.local to load it at the end of boot sequence.


Dont know why it worked before and not now, but if I had a fish for every time I said that I would be feeding the five thousand right now.
