Dear Newbie,
Here at linuxnewbie.org we are all here to help. But in order to help everyone we can we ask you to follow these simple rules.

1. Search before asking, I know your problem has been answered five times..
2. Include error messages problem etc. Not just "my sounds broken" for example.
3. Use english not "ghetto" talk.
4. Get to the point, we don't need an essay on how you baby brother deleted your video drivers.
5. Be kind, don't use bad words or get angry when we can't help you within 5 minutes.
6. Provide all your system infomation, such as OS, Computers speed etc.
7. Don't make strings comparing OS, bootloaders etc. If you want to know why you shouldn't see rule number 1.
8. Don't ask how to fix Windows.
9. Be kind to the people who are helping you, don't flip out on them for being dumb. (Hey, it happens)
10. Search before asking.
11. Do not cross post your problem accross more than one forum. (ie. Software, Hardware etc.)
12. Posts not belonging in any other forum belong in /dev/random.

I can't stress how much I hate looking at posts I have answered six times. Have fun using the site and hope we can answers your questions as best as possible!

Happy Posting!

Your Welcome.

My turn to bump and post #11.

11) Do not cross post your problem accross more than one forum.

The reason: This causes two groups of people who caught the thread to work in parallel. It wastes our time, and it is slighly annoying. For your own good, not just be be courteous, do not cross post. You follow sugestion in forum 1, flip over to forum 2, perform 3 or 4 there, go back and try suggestion 2 from forum 1, and in the meantime the one's helping in parallel forums have NO CLUE as to why 1+1 !=2 and you are getting your system in a worse and worse state.

12. Posts not belonging in any other forum belong in /dev/random.

This one should be sent off to /dev/random and its duplicates to the botomless pit of deleted topics (is there one in LNO? I've never seen a deleted topic here).
