does RH 7.1 give you the option of installing samba, ftp server, dhcpcd, apache, from the os installation screen? I have had real problems getting my server up correctly. All I want is a Linux that installs and configures it for me.. is that too much to ask for? 8-) Please advise.. :D

RH gives the option to install all of that. As far as configuration though, it makes educated guesses, if you have special requirements, then you might actually have to edit a file. Red Hat and Mandrake are better than Windows when it comes to networking and servers though. They're mailing lists also give good support, and usually pretty fast. That is too much to ask if you ask Mr. Gates.

But it's like I said in the other post, those are all products from other vendors. I would complain to them if they don't set theirselves up correctly.
