I think I heard a few people talking about Audacity, which is supposed to be good.

I downloaded the audacity rpm and the dependent rpms... For some reason nothing happens when I try to use them... I have used rpm before and it is of course easy as could be to open these packages with RH8,, but these are not responding... I guess I will just have to start reading everything I can on how to manually install, create make file,,, or whatever you have to do.. I just cant figure out why nothing would happen when I tried to open rpms...
I guess my package manager is messed up.. I am using KDE, GNOME kept givig me trouble..
I installed red-carpet, (which I messed with on RH7.3), Then I ram Red_carpet from command Prompt and mabey I messed somthing up.. also tried to open packages using "--rpm" in command prompt but I still feel like some thing is wrong, my run options or what not... Thanks for the tip on audacity, it looks like a good program.....

I really prefer Glame - much more configurability (is that a real word?).

Use tar packages.
