I installed a copy Linux Redhat 7.0 in text mode. How do I install the gui? I don't see xconf or xconfigurator anywhere.

First off check if X is installed.

If it is then you could use XFree86 -configure or xf86config to make a config file.

First you could have installed X in the setup.

Type in Xconfigurator at the prompt. Capital X.

See if that works

One of the choices in the install would have been do you want to install KDE, Gnome, graphics support. If you chose this then the commands 'startx' and 'Xconfigurator' should work. If not then you would have to try to install them manually from the cd, but that probably won't be an easy or simple experience. I've never tried it but because of dependancies I could see this being a major pain in the rear end. Try to see if you can start X with the command startx. If nothing happens then you can try to find out how to install X manually. I would probably just reinstall & make sure to chose graphical support, kde, and gnome.
