Windows not becoming primary when I click on them

The windows won't come in front of the other windows when I click on them. I know it's just a setting deal. I am in gnome suse 7.2...any ideas please

there is a section in the window manager setup which has a behaviour setting

have a root round there and you may find the answer

Check out the settings to do with 'focus' there should be an option to focus windows when you click on them.

Also, make sure the top window isn't set to "stay on top" or "always on top" - that'll override your trying to change focus
