Thanks, ChrisI mangeli 02-13-2001, 01:31 PM I think that anything above 2.2.16 should be able to.... it would more likely be a bios problem that wouldn't allow the 72 gig hd. ChrisI 02-13-2001, 01:36 PM I am running 2.2.16 (i would need to go higher?) and my bios is dated august of 2000. Molecule Man 02-13-2001, 01:45 PM So try and see. It would still be a bios problem if it didn't. Though usually, as long as the first partion is small enough, even that is not a problem. BobjoB 02-13-2001, 06:57 PM any version above 2.2.15 will support upto 120gb partitions. so your drive wont have any probs unless your bios is messed up. i have 2 60gb drives raid0 and they work fine on one big partition. u may need to update fdisk to use the full space tho. cfdisk can handle larger (>20gb) drives better in my experience holloway 02-13-2001, 07:08 PM Ext2fs has a maximum filesystem size of 4 Terabytes, so I suppose any kernel with Ext2fs should do fine.. :) justlinux.com
