I'm having trouble with the fonts in some of my programs, and I think I tracked it down..
Most of my font settings use the font HELVETICA, of which I have 3 versions..
I have helvetica (adobe), helvetica (mdk) and helvetica (urw). The adobe version and urw version seem to be fine, but the mdk version can only be scaled at 8 or 10 points. Therefore, when I go to a webpage that uses a font size larger, the fonts become broken and pixelated somewhat.
The other helvetica fonts scale up to 72 with no problem, and these are the ones I want to use for everything. Yet, when I specify helvetica, it always assumes the mdk version. I want to remove that font so it will not use it anymore, because the other ones are better..
Anyone follow me here? Anyone know how to do this? I found a bunch of font files, but they have cryptic names, and are of no help (to me anyways)..
Or, if anyone has a better solution, like a way for mandrake to use the OTHER helvetica fonts as default, I'd like to hear that.
Thanks
