I'm trying to install Licq but apparently I don't have all the packages on my system.
I'm getting an error after trying to install the RPM that says:
Packages Not Found
The following packages could not be found on your system. Installation cannot continue until they are installed.
libDCOP-gcc2.96.so.4
libkdecore-gcc2.96.so.4
libkdefx-gcc2.96.so.4
libkdseu-gcc2.96.so.4
libkdeui-gcc2.96.so.4
libkio-gcc2.96.so.4
------------------------------------------------------
I assume this means that they just aren't installed on my computer. Can someone tell me where I can find these things and how to install them? I tried searching Google but couldn't come up with anything.
Thanks

www.rpmfind.net is a nice place to look.

Thanks for the reply MD. I checked out the site and looked up the first one, libDCOP-gcc2.96.so.4. What it came up with was kdelibs-3.0.0-10.i386.rpm. Now when I went to install it, I'm told that I have a newer version of kdelibs installed.
Running RedHat 8.0 with obviously KDE, is there a way I can install an older package?

RPMs check for required versions or newer, so you shouldn't have to 'downgrade' anything. Have you checked through the others? I've seen this myself and one I hit the one that is truly outdated it all goes smooth from there.
Try "rpm -qa|grep "packagename""
that will tell if you have it installed and what version its on...

You could always give Gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net/) a try that is if you aren't looking for file transfer capabilities in a multiple protocol client such as Gaim.

The rpm that I currently have installed is 'kdelibs-3.0.3-8' . So does this mean I need to search all of these files and find out which one needs to be upgraded and it will all work?
I use gaim for my AIM buddy list, is it possible to use it both for AIM and ICQ?

Yes,just make sure the icq protocol is loaded and it should work fine.

How can I load the ICQ protocal? I'd like to be able to be on AIM/ICQ at the same time, this is possible?

I'm confused, I looked up all the files that I need and they all come from the file that I previously downloaded. Is it possible for me to install this rpm and get LICQ working?
