I recently installed debian and got my exim working. All i had to do at the command prompt was type "mail" and then I could check my mail, send mail, etc.
I had some problems last night with my machine and since I didn't have that many packages installed i decided to just reinstall my system, which was a great idea (sarcasm, read: I'm a dumbass) When I initially installed debian, I wrote down everything that I did. Last night all I did was follow my own directions.
I think that I messed up somewhere though because I noticed that after the install exim wasn't installed. I had to use apt-get after the install. The problem now is that I can't just type "mail" in the terminal any more. It says that it can't find that file.
Did I miss something when I was writing down instructions to myself? I wrote down that I skipped over the module part of the install. are programs like exim and the now elusive "mail" part of some module that I may have installed last time and just forgot to write it down??
thanks for the help...
