I found an Aureal Driver with [32K-BUFFER].
I attached it to this message.
The Aureal Driver from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/aureal is only [16K-BUFFER].
1)To Install Aureal Driver you must have kernel-headers & kernel-source rpm's installed. Kernel-Source is on CD3.
2)Open terminal an go to /usr/local/Aureal <Whatever your's is> and su to root.
Install20 (For Vortex 1 8820), read Install for other's.
3) Go to Menu|Control Center|Sound|
Sound Server|Sound I/O and in Sound I/O method select Threaded Open Sound System. Also enable full duplex operation.
4) Go to General Tab and Select Test Sound, should hear sound. Also select Start aRts soundserver on KDE startup.
Also deselect Autosuspend if idle for. and
Select Run soundserver with realtime Priorty.
Good Luck!
