I have a nice new install of MDK9, and have made and installed fluxbox as per instructions.

The problem is that mdk likes to run the WM menu at startup. Adding an entry to that menu is very easy via the KDE control panel, but that's all it does - add a choice on the list. It doesn't actually link to anything or start fluxbox.

All I want is my existing menu, but with fluxbox on there as a choice that works when selected.

I've seen a similar question in another post here from a while ago but noone answered then, so I thought I'd try again.

I'm using Mandrake 9, and want to install fluxbox too. So far.. no luck.

Why does something this simple have to be so hard to find? I have been asking questions about this for the past two months, with out answers. I am going to try this out and let eveyone know if it works.

doh. I did exactly what that page says to do at one point, I was just too stupid to restart X.

But yeah, it works perfectly and first time.
