hi i have Linux on a 2nd harddrive, and use a floppy to boot into it.

I would like to format the whole 2nd hard drive (using redhat) and make it into fat32 so i can use it in Windows.

and also i havent use linux in awhile, and for some reason my root passwd does not work, so im logging in through a regular account. Is there anyway i can find out the passwd for root?

why not use windows? If you boot from an emagency disk you can delete the password file in /etc/ - you could also skip this, boot from an emergency disk, fdisk the drive and change the type to fat 32 (vfat). not sure why you would want to though....
