How do you configure sound in linux?? Nothing has asked me for info on my speaker and i dont know where to setup my speaker... I saw the NHF's but there all for spicific types of speakers, not the kind I have. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

You'll need to tell us what distrobution you are using. :) The methods for configuring sound differ from distro to distro.

On my Red Hat system, the speakers were detected automatically and I didn't configure a thing. :p

Um, speakers don't need to be configured (at least I don't think they do). You just plug them in an voila. What DOES need to be configured is your sound card. What card are you using? Is it ISA or PCI?
