When I boot my PC, I get this message - "Insert Bootable Media Appropriate Drive". Does that mean my MBR isn't set right? How would I do that in "fdisk"? Is there a command line that will tell my PC to boot from the hard drive instead of the floppy. I have to use a "LILO Boot Disk". I have only Slackware 8.0 linux os on my PC (Standalone). I used the "cfdisk" & made my "/" [Bootable]. But everytime I check cfdisk, the [Bootable] Flag is gone again.

Thanks,
Miniboss

When you first installed Slack, where did you specify Lilo to be installed to? MBR or the boot/root partition

Hi mdwatts,
It's OK - I figured how to boot directly to my HDD. I just use the command "liloconfig".
Thanks,
