Has anyone set up a computer with a broadband connection as a PPP server so others could dial in to access the internet? I am interested in doing this with my computer in my work office... I know I need to install a phone modem and set up IP Masquerading and the PPP server.
Is this very difficult to do? It seems like a great way to save $$ on a dial-up ISP from home when my computer at work is just sitting there wasting bandwidth.
What kind of security issues should I be aware of? Will the network administrator be aware that I am doing this, or will my dial-up connection be totally masked by the IP masquerading?
Thanks for any input,
BB
