Are there any issues with doing this? :D lkue 02-12-2001, 08:12 PM I believe it should work no different from having Windows 9x on the other drive. Just be sure to tell LILO that Windows 2000 is there . . . guitardude 02-13-2001, 05:11 AM Windows doesn't like any other primary partitions, so when you install linux on the second drive, make sure that all your partitions are logical on the second drive (all partitions are located within an extended partition). If you are only going to have Win2000 and Linux on your system, then you can install LILO on the master boot record. However, a safer and highly recommended approach would be to obtain partition Magic 6.0 to create and format your Linux partitions with. Plus, you get Boot Magic 6.0 that will safely boot both OSes with no difficulty. I'm using that setup on my desktop with no problems. NOthing special I did, just run the install, and make sure when you do the format, its on /dev/hdb/ and not /dev/hda/. Other than that, there was nothing to do, Slack picked up my windows partition and even put them in fstab and mounted them for me. Hope that helps.. freaker  justlinux.com
