I am trying to configure Proftpd on linux Redhat 8.0. First off what is PAM, what does it actually do? I want to setup logins on the server for each user but dont really want to create new logins in linux. Is there a way of creating lots of virtual users e. ftp1, ftp2, ftp3 with there own passwords etc but all using the one linux account?
