ooops... didn't realize which forum I was in

Ok... my dad has been wanting to start an ISP for a while now... he fiddled around with Windows Server and it won't do what he needs it to...

He wants to actually start an ISP... not just a little private thing.... I hear a lot of talk about Linux being good at webserving.. but I would think this would be a little more...

Is it possible?

Yes. Look at the docs for pppd and incoming calls, and I think there is a ISP howto at www.linuxdoc.org (http://www.linuxdoc.org)

This is a good starting point too.
http://www.chuvakin.org/ispdoc/

It's called Pocket ISP, for a "small ISP" setup.
