Ok, I've even tried replacing my XConfig files with working versions from another installation of RedHat 7.1 on the same machine. Despite this, X Windows still tries to start up at 1024x768 @ 85Hz. I've tried XF86Config, Xconfigurator, manual editing, etc. Any ideas how I can convince it to stop running at 85Hz, or should I just reinstall? Thanks.
