Cursor Stuck on the Bottom of My Screen In X

I finally got xfree86 to work the only problem is the cursor is stuck on the bottom of my lcd screen :eek: ! I installed on a laptop. What can I do so the cursor can move around the whole screen instead of just staying at the very bottom of the screen. Also I am using Xfree86 4.0.3. The XF86Config-4 file says I am using a vga server. Is this correct? I think I want a svga server so is this not included with the 4+ versions of xfree86?

Anyhow, I am using blackbox as my window manager. If anyone ran into this problem and can help I would be thankful :D

sounds like a mouse problem to me. check your XF86Config file...also check the web to see if others have had problems with your model of laptop.
