Hello everyone, I was playing around a little tonight and I was able to get Wine working! I have tried Solitaire and WinZip and both of them work fine. Now if I can get Office 2000 to work I will be all set.

I used Wine once, and I was able to get Red Alert working perfectly, and even Tiberian Storm! It's great to be able to run Windows software in Linux, even if not all of it works. GNU/br0wni3 02-12-2001, 01:19 AM I also installed WINE in my RH7 box. it worked.. but not all apps did. I dont think we'll ever get office and/or any other much more Win Specific app to run tho, i guess they have so many win DLLs WINE just cant keep up. Cheers! :D br0wni3 vvx 02-12-2001, 04:29 AM I have wine working, installed from .deb, but it doesn't have glide compiled in er whatever so I can't game.. Sigh, why would someone make a .deb of wine without glide? I mean, if you aren't going to game with it, what's the point? :) fow99 02-12-2001, 05:20 AM I havn't try wine too long before I found out that there are still quite a lot of software that can not be run. But this weekend I tried Vmware. Nice one. justlinux.com
