I'm currently running XP Home and I'd like to install Mandrake 7.2. Am I correct in saying that the file system XP should be running is FAT32? If so, does anyone know if I can safely go from NTFS to FAT32? I know it's a Linux board, but maybe someone will know... Thanks a bunch.

XP uses NTFS by default, but you can use either filesystem. Either filesystem can be read from within Linux, but only FAT32 can be written to. I don't know of any tools to convert from NTFS to FAT32 though, I know you can convert the other way around. Maybe partition magic?
