Anyone successfully set up @home in Debian? The reason I say Debian is b/c many tutoritals have told me to use dhcpcd, and when I issue that command, it can't find it. Others have told me dhclient, and I can't find that either.

Also, how would I check my network card to make sure it's configured correctly? By making @Home work?

To check to see if your network card is working correctly, just type ifconfig. You should get some information about eth0. If you don't, it's not working. a DHCP client that I used with on @Home was pump (man pump). It worked for me under RedHat 6.0. I believe Debian would contain it as well.

forget that last post, I found it. it says it's up. but I"m not getting anything back when I ping anything.

But, Rx packets are going up as I try to contact different things. How would I change my network settings? It's got to do with the DHCP configuration I think. When I set it up, I think I configured it to be a static address, and it shouldn't, it should use DHCP.
