What is the significance of the term "visual" as applied to languages. (Visual C++, Visual Fox Pro, Visual Basic, etc.)

Visual C++ is a C++ compiler, and Visual Basic is a MS language that is slow and cumbersome. mnsharif 11-09-2002, 04:20 AM yeah u r right Dun'kalis!!!! but there is another point!! when MS thinks, they should spell out some new product they use this VISUAL phenomenon without even thinking of any analagy between nonVisual and Visual products.
