I've just noticed a few days ago there was a new version of postfix out (patch level 13...I should have known) with was marked as high priority on freshmeat so I decided to upgrade. Since I don't have the source of the pl 11 release I used I got the source for 13 instead of patching. Now when I try to start postfix I get the message that it starts but when I check the processes it's not there. Mail won't download because it's not running. I checked a few things and found out that the command /usr/libexec/postfix/master keeps giving segmentation faults when I try to run it.
How do I solve this? Is it an error in the postfix source or did I screw something up? Should I instead have gotten the 11 source and pachted up to 13? (and if so where the *bleep* can that still be found). What?
