Ok, I forgot to mention. I'm using Red Hat 8.0 Mozilla, just in case that helps.

That website seems to be fine, but when I click download it downloads 0 kb and ends. Do I need to change the file extention? When I click download and the save as screan comes up there's a ADVANCED botton on the bottom left of the screen.

There are the options.

File Extention: gz
MIME Type: application/x-gzip
Application to use:

Any suggestions?

I went to http://www.opera.com/download/ and it said that I had to

"RPM

Press Alt+F2 (execute command) and enter the command "rpm" in the Run dialog. Download the RPM package if no error message appears."

I did that but it still only downloaded 0 KB. GRRR
Any suggestions?

if it's not hard drive space... It could be your isp or even could be the server you are trying to download from being tied up. I've had stuff like that happen on win also so I doubt it's the OS.

I have a 20GB drive just for Linux Red hat. I highly doubt that drive space is the problem. But, it could be. How do I check the harddrive space? Another thing, how do I access drive A? Sorry, major newbie here.

stoopid qwestion ---> do you have permission to write to the directory that you are saving the file to?

could it be the browser? I know that sometimes Galeon opens .tar.gz .tgz .tar.bz2, etc files in ASCII form on the screen instead of download... Try another browser, see if that works

Left click on the download link and it should take you to another screen where you again left click on the mirror you wish to download from.

The download should start automatically after that.

Try to install another browser from your distro's CDs instead of downloading it. May I suggest either lynx, links, or w3c? Or perhaps even wget, if you know the URL already.

Exactly what I was referring to earlier.

You need to left click on the download links and then the download should start automatically.

I noticed that problem sometimes as well with mozilla.
Right click and select 'Save Link As'.
When you've got that, get a newer version of Mozilla :)
