Hi All,
I have a dual boot desk top running Win ME and Solaris 8.0. It uses Solaris boot oader to select OS boot up. I wanted to load Redhat or Mandrake to multi boot.
Any Ideas how to start?
Thanks..:)

So, does this system boot from a cd-rom?
If so, you can just download the iso from windows or solaris, and burn it onto a CD.
During the installation, you will be asked to install a boot loader to handle all of the boot options. Install either lilo or grub.
Either bootloader will give you the choice to boot to any of the OS on your computer.
If you want further info on this, I suggest a nice google search in a "linux frame of mind"
www.google.com/linux
(I use grub, it works rather nicely for my dual-boot WinMe-Libranet PC) :)

Install the Linux bootloader into it's own boot/root partition and then add Linux to the Solaris bootloader.
Not sure how that is done, but you should be able to find something on the Solaris site to help.

Hi
Just wondered what is your hardware config?
Well, I am interested to find out how to install Solaris on Intel platform.
