I did a port scan from Shields up and the report told me that port 6000 I think was open and that I should run XHost. Reading up I see it allows me to set the amount of users on X. This is all new to me. Can I assume that unless I run this someone can logon to X. I thought I was the only one that could do that. Anyway some advise on whats going on with this one and what I should do would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the post but could you be more specific. I want to close port 6000 which is open . So you are saying that I put XHOST a script ?? in a line somewhere ?? Sorry Im not following you at all.
Thanks

What pbharris is saying is to run the command xhost - on the command line.
Type man xhost for more info.
