I worked for a week getting this thing installed and my video card OpenGL compliant (which may still be the trouble)

When I start the game it opens but as soon as I click on anything it freezes and I have to cold boot my computer.

I tried lowering the resolutions which just helped a tad bit, but it still does the same thing.

When I select single player the game just quits all together!

I have an ATI Radeon 8500 128 DDR card on Redhat 7.3 using the Firewire drivers from ATI.

Its on an Athlon 1.3 GHz system with 256 megs ram and a 100 gig H/D.

Has anyone got this game to work? I really am getting discouraged but dont want to give it up yet.

it runs under WineX (i'll assume you are using regular wine since you don't mention what you are running it with), here is a link to their info on the game: http://www.transgaming.com/gamepage.php?gameid=167

I suppose I may have to go the WineX route.

I was really wanting to get this running nativly but it looks as though I may be fighting a losing battle.

Thanks for the reply.

it works perfect here

get the latest patch (v1.4) and the latest stable version of DRI. If it still hard locks on you, then you can email TTimo (see INSTALL for details) with your problem and you should get it resolved.

Getting the latest stable version of DRI, what does this involve? Do I have to recompile my kernel? I did mess around with DRI trying to compile it as a module and I had nothing but a big mess on my hands.

I ended up reformatting and starting over.

I dont even know if I have DRI right now.

I really hate to lose at this. I see others have this game running nativley and so I want it too!
