I tried firestarter 8.3 and 9.0 in Redhat 7.3, RH 8.0 and Mdk 9.0 and it was sheer depency hell. Even the dependencies had dependencies, one was about 20 files. I said to hell with the dependency hell!

No problem whatsoever, worked great straight out of the box. I can't say the same about Mandrake 9.0 tho, like yourself, dependancy hell! Rickdog 11-05-2002, 05:45 PM I should have tried the older version as you did. The newer ones couldn't find gnome-2.0 and libgnome-common, etc. I may have to try 0.8.2 if it will set up the ipchains for connection sharing. Wibble 11-05-2002, 05:51 PM I've to 2 Win2k PC's connecting to my RH 7.3 box, which is doing the IP masq'ing, etc. Took a few mins to set up, nice and easy for a newbie like me. justlinux.com
