Are Suse 7.3 and Grub compatible?

I am trying to get Grub to work with Suse 7.3. It was easy to get it to work with Suse 8.1 becuase first of all it came with it and secondly, I only had to change one file, /etc/sysconfig to make the boatloader Grub. But there is no sysconfig file in 7.3. Anyone know how to get Grub to work with Suse 7.3?

I'm not sure I understand your problem.

Grub as a bootloader can (should be able to) boot just about any operating system including multiple Windows versions, Linux distros (and versions) and variants of Unix/BSD etc.

Are you saying you have deleted SuSE 8.1 and have now reinstalled SuSE 7.3 and are having problems booting (which OS?) just 7.3 from Grub?
