Window managers don't start anymore :(

That's right. I installed Linux 2.4, runs fine and all. But when I try to enter a window manager (with xdm), the screen stays gray and nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea? I don't mind working in console, but I need to get my record back at xjump

All you did is update the kernel and this happened? Perhaps you should compare the two configurations and see what you did differently...

Exacty! I'm using kernel 2.2.16 now, and I'm in X (Blackbox). I don't know what the problem is. I'll try to fix my sound problem first then I look up for some solution. And Strike, do you ever happen to sleep&
