Many thanks to you for telling me to hang in there with Linux... truth be told... that kinda stuck in the back of my head so I never gave up on it and I've finally got a reliable PPP connection going! http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks again.

Good for you!! Obviously I'm not SCuSI but I poked my head in on your thread but didn't know how to help you out much.
How did you do it?
Was it your ISP or your linux box?
I remember you were thinking of writing a small script.

Thanks ColdPack.

What I ended up doing was following the instructions beginning to end from here:

http://axion.physics.ubc.ca/ppp-linux.html

I'm not really sure, but I think it was a combination of both my ISP and my Linux box... I never had to go through all this before with prior ISP's that I had.

That link above is a damn good intro to PPP, no question about that. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Now I can consistently and reliably get a connection via the console... but I still need to get KPPP to work. :-o
