Helix Code I think has it bundled with it... ermm... try freshmeat?

A: Two. One to screw it in and one to observe how the lightbulb itself symbolizes a single incandescent beacon of subjective reality in a netherworld of endless absurdity reaching out toward a maudlin cosmos of nothingness.

Freshmeat just gives links to the pages with broken links http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/frown.gif

google search it or go to rpmfind.net and look around there. If you can't use RPM's then you can at least find the homepage.

Hey Mikenell!

I looked at the helixcode site for debian stuff and look what I found?
http://spidermonkey.helixcode.com/distributions/debian/dists/woody/main/source/

The abiword tarball.
There you go!

The rpm still works, and they are suppose to be releasing a new one soon.

Mandrake has an rpm for abiword in its mirrors. And it was in Helix.

Thanks ColdPack, I'm getting it now! Weird though, on the AbiWord site it said it was 2.8mb but this is 8mb! And there seemed to be a few tarballs for it. Is it modified specifically for Helix?

Shad: I can't use RPM's.
Thanks

I have no idea. I just thought I'd poke around and there she was. Now I'm not sure if that's going to have other dependencies but, if so, you may just find them on that same tree. It has the sources of just about all the helix packages. Funny to find them on the debian woody tree, huh?
Hopefully it will work for ya. No guarantees. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I want to add that that first tarball is just the abiword tarball... just below it is an abiword-helix tarball. What makes them differnt? I don't know. Over my head, there. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

That sucks!
Sorry 'bout that Mikenell. I thought that could do it. That's the way to a solution, I suppose. By elimination.
http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif I'll poke around some more.

It's slow but useable. Sorry about the bad luck with that tarball.
How's slack going for ya?
Miss Debian at all? http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
(I'm trying out slack right now, too, for the heck of it. But on a spare partition. Debian is still it for me. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif )
