I have installed Hylafax on my suse 7.0 server. I have set the etc/hosts.hfaxd file (var/spool/fax/etc/hosts.hfaxd) to owened by fax and set permissions to 600 as per all the setup info that I can find.
If I connect to the faxservices using 'WHFC' (windows hylafax client) it requests password no matter what put in the hosts file. Also if I run faxstat or telnet the hylafax host i get the following message: login failed: 530 access denied user 'xxxx' where xxxx is any user I try including root.
Any ideas anyone, I am only just getting into linux so don't be cruel.
