Mandrake 8 installation hangs

Hi everyone!
I'm having troubles installing Mandrake 8. I boot it from CD and seems to work fine, but when I press ENTER to continue installation, it hangs *after* detecting my IDE drives. My PC configuration is:
* AMD K7 1Ghz
* 128 MB Ram
* 20Gb HD with 4 partitions (made with Partition Magic 6): FAT32, NTFS (W2000), ext2fs and Linux swap
* Pioneer DVD 16x
* HP CD-Writer 9510i
* QDI Kinetiz Motherboard

I think it has to do something with your dvd player. I had the same problems with mandrake. Maybe a boot disk and install from the cdr?
