Hi

I'm also trying to install xcdroast (hence my answer to a question earlier - I just found out the hard way....

Now, I haven't put the CD burner in the machine yet (backup night tonight!!! Ditto tape streamer still doing sterling service!) but..

Tought I'd try and get xcdroast compiled and in there. No sweat with that, it just complains bitterly when I run it that 'can't open window 0,0' or some such.
( Can't be more specific, "her indoors" is using the windows half of the box at the moment - no Friday-Night-at-the-pub-evening-pass" if I mess up her photoshop work. I digress....)

Only way I could fix was to use xhost 127.0.0.1:0 and all is well...
As I've not seen a ref. to this in the xcdroast documentation, nor on the nhf "installing a cd burner in RH 6", I'm wondering if I've missed a step...
Anyone else had to do this?

-Cheers

(using RH7.3, and burner is Samsung SW-224)
