RH 7.0 Hard Drive Install

Hello, I have been able to start the install of RH 7.0 from Win2000(hda5) to a second drive dedicated to linux (hdb) I to the point where linux started to setup all the RPM's and then errored out in what looks like the Anaconda? script. I had created a user account, partioned the drive etc.. Once it started what appears to be reading all the RPM's it hung. I have both Hard drives on the same ide cable, master/slave. I am running a K62-500, 128meg mem, PCI 3com 3c50X nic, MatrixMyst PCI 4meg graphics card, plain jane cd-drive, floppy and thats about it. I want to set it up to boot off a floppy and not the MBR. I created a install disk ok and all went well until the above error occured.
Is there a problem with the K6-2 & I think VIA chipset? Windows 2000 complained when I first tried to install it with the K6-2 and the VIA chip set.
Any thoughts? should I try a FTP install instead? All RedHat RPM's are on a separate drive partition set at fat-16.
