I've tried 3 different audio cards and none of them work. Here is my latest issue:

Mandrake 9.0 I have a Aureal audio card with a AU8810 Vortex Digital Audio Processor. Of course the module is unknown. Anyone got a module for this card?

And how do I get it to work.

The RH hardware compatibility list should always utilized first when you have hardware difficulties. it can usually inform you of any supported/unsupported hardware.

First ensure you have PnP OS disabled in the bios. That alone could be the cause of none of the soundcards being detected.

I found http://sdb.suselinux.hu/en/sdb/html/chofman_vortex.html from a Google for Linux search for 'AU8810 Vortex'.

It should at least tell you what modules are required.
