mesa opengl library

Hey everyone. I'm trying to install the mesa 3d library on my mandrake 8.2 box, but I can't find any help in installing the library. I want to build the demo of tux racer.

Where did you get the mesa opengl library from and what format/filetype is the file you downloaded?

If tar.gz, unpack using

tar zxvf filename.tar.gz

and the read the install and readme text files to find out how to install.
