This problem has come up in the last week and I haven't a clue as to what is causing it.
First problem is my Internet Connection(IC) has slowed down greatly. I use kppp to dial into my IC. When I first started acourding to Gkrealm I was avg. around 53 kbps. But this last week the IC has slowed down, and though it's connected at 56k it only transmits at about 2.5, and ocasionaly spikes to 5.5.
I also get routinely bumbed. The most longevity I can hope for is about an hour, before I could stay on for 24 hours without being bumped. The IC will also stall for a few minutes without reason.
Along with this, my processer has started to become more active. When the IC is trying to transmit data or is starting up, the processer will sometimes spike up to 100% of use.
I have no idea what is going on. I'm not even sure if those to things are related. I'd like some trouble shooting advice, on how to get my IC transmiting back at 5.5 kpbs. Any ideas would be apprecited.
