Depends on what version of X you are running. www.linuxvoodoo.org (http://www.linuxvoodoo.org) seems to be the one with the X 3.3.5/6 drivers now, since 3dfx.com and all of its affiliated sites are down/dead. If you are using X 4.x you will want to use DRI from dri.sourceforge.net.
Tell us what version of X you are using, and we can be of more help.
And did I mention cross-posting isn't cool, mmmkay?

If you are running 3.3.6, then you need to get the Glide SDK, and the Glide2/3 package and install them - www.linuxvoodoo.org (http://www.linuxvoodoo.org) has them. Also get and make/install the 3dfx "device" and insmod it. Once that is done, be sure you are running X in 16bit color and have at least 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768 defined as valid resolutions. After that, run /usr/local/glide/bin/test3dfx - it should work.
