gftp help

I managed to d/l from ftp sites with the bookmarks, & stopping & resuming.

But I have problems connecting to http d/l urls.
It tries to connect but it keeps on asking for a login & password.

Is it possible to d/l from http sites?

http://grass.itc.it/grass5/binary/linux/

i want d/l the 35mb using stop & resume in gftp.

Please let me know if you can do it?

It works fine here. gFTP v2.0.13. Maybe try and enter the http port number (80) although you should think the program is advanced enough to figure that out on it's own.

If nothing works use wget:

wget http://blah

CTRL-C to stop it and the next time enter (from the directory where the half finished file is):

wget -c http://blah
