Problem Install Star Office 6.0 Final

I'm newbie in Linux. I just have Star Office 6.0 It's a file with .bin extention. I'm using Mandrake 9.0. I don't know to install Star Office. I tried to run the bin file and nothing happend. Please help. It's my first time when I try to install a software under Linux:(

When you tried to execute the .bin file, did you just get "file or directory not found" error? If so, put a ./ in front of the file name. If the file is named sofficesetup.bin for example, then enter:

./sofficesetup.bin

at the command line to execute it.

If that doesn't help, let us know what error message you get, if any, when you try to execute it.
Also, be sure you are root when you try to execute it.

Yes it worked.I did not know to run as a root. But I choose run command and then from options run as a different user in this case root.

I received this message after the instalation. Adabas was not found on my system and to try to download from Internet.

Do you know where can find Adabas?

No, I don't even know what Adabas is. I suggest going to:

http://www.google.com/linux

and doin a search on Adabas. You'll probably find it.
