does waimea support gnome(2)?

I'm thinking about breaking down and just installing gnome so that I get a quality launcher tool to use with waimea (thinking about it, I have the root menu all set up too...) waimea supports gnome and gnome2 fine right, no real problems?

I have waimea working with Gnome2 just fine. See this screenshot (http://jay.skabber.com/images/waimeaGnome.jpg) the only thing that doesn't work is minimizing windows to the task bar, cause waimea doesn't do that.
