Hi...
I'm having problems configuring my HP 4050 LaserJet using Mandrake 7.2 and CUPS.
I can print, but although I've tried several drivers, they all exhibit the same problems:
1. The bottom margin is too small and text gets cut off.
2. The print dialog defaults to A4. I can change it to US Letter, but I don't seem able to save this as a default.
3. When I print text files using "lpr", the left margin is too small and again text is cut off.
4. I've tried using the "kups" interface to modify things like DPI. My printer supports 1200 DPI but the CUPS driver defaults to 600. I can change this to 1200, but as soon as I leave that dialog, it reverts to 600.
Any suggestions?
