KONK font

I am using Konquerer in mandrake 8.2 and KDE.
The font was something pretty dreadful that I couldnt read.I dug through the settings and found a configurable list of fonts each of which I changed to "NEW".
Great
However Whenever I start the machine it has reverted to the wacky font ,requiring me to re select all the list again.
Ive clicked "apply "buttons wherever Ive seen them but nothing is permenent.
Any Ideas?

Perhaps you need to make the font changes as root.

Give that a try and see if it helps.

Thanks -that seems to have done most of it except the mailer.Theres so any U.I.'s ,clients ,browsersetc to choose from I cant remember which of them I configured !
