If it is VINE, what is it? mrBen 07-19-2001, 12:11 PM Erm, maybe this Vine Linux Home Page (http://www.vinelinux.org/) will help. If you read Japanese that is :D bdg1983 07-19-2001, 12:28 PM Just go there and click on the English link. mrBen 07-19-2001, 12:33 PM Doh! All my hardware manuals are written in a multitude of languages so I guess my pc's are multilingual. ;) Harvey 07-19-2001, 01:46 PM Mainly hardware, it most likely doesn't matter though. The main reason I am after this is that I want a way to input and read Japanese in linux. I have been turning to microsoft for that in the past. Win2k handles multilanguage support extremely well. bdg1983 07-19-2001, 01:50 PM Actually it doesn't matter. I've just started using Konqueror (not bad at all) and I was surprised when the Japanese characters displayed correctly from the vine website. Didn't do me much good though as I had to click on the English. Harvey 07-19-2001, 02:03 PM I'm not just talking about websites, which use unicode to display foreign text, but for example in the console as well. So even in programs such as PINE Japnaese text will be properly displayed... Also, does anyone have any information on inputing text? justlinux.com
